This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has a 145 acre hunting lease available for lease in northern Wayne County, New York. This hunting lease is located in WMU(8F) and is 27 miles east of Rochester, New York. Syracuse is about 50 miles east of hunting lease. The terrain of this property is flat. There is an old apple orchard (6 acres) in south-west corner. Property has a railroad track and power line running east and west through property (south section). The south half of the property is really thick with a lot of undergrowth. The back half is a more mature woods and not as much undergrowth. This is a slammer property. Deer trails are all through the property (see pictures). I found a huge rub. The landowner let a friend hunt property last year and shot buck in picture. He stated this was the smallest of 3 bucks that were together. There will be a little work getting an ATV trail to back of property. Landowner has a skid steer and has a brush hog on order for it. The plan is to brush hog an ATV trail through power line and one off this to back of property. It will be connected to apple orchard. He will allow you to maintain trail. There is a big ditch with water just behind apple orchard. He will put a bridge across( the materials are already on property). You can cross ditch with knee boots or use foot bridge on south edge of apple orchard. The north -west corner has a couple ponds. There are some huge beech trees on the north end of this lease. ATV use will be allowed for hunting. No camping allowed. Get with landowner for posting of property (he is a logger so particular about trees signs go on). Area has a great deer population and doe permits have been easy to get in past years. Whoever walks this property first will lease it just based off all of the deer sign on it! Don't miss out!!
